Who are the most powerful characters in the Genshin Impact Tier List?

The meta just like in any game rapidly changes depending on the current enemies and character roster. A single support character can define a team and make characters drastically more powerful. Depending on the needs of the team many characters can fit in the roles but some rules do apply. Usually, teams will consist of a support, main and side damage dealer, and finally a healer. The healer spot can be flexible if your team can output insane amounts of damage to a point where mechanics and enemies don’t matter. 

However, this only happens in situations where you have very powerful gear and many constellations on your characters. For players just starting out you should always try and have at least some healing.

Is there a difference between male and female Genshin Impact Characters?

Each character in Genshin Impact is unique and has unique traits and characteristics. A female character like Yoimiya is a Pyro blow user, while Kazuha is an Anemo sword user. They differ in their abilities as well as their element and weapons but also in personality and physical traits. The only character with little to no difference in visuals and personality is the Traveler and their many elemental variants. 

Overall the whole cast of playable characters has a wide range of abilities, elements, and personalities to choose from. For many players what determines their favorite characters is their power level and place in the tier lists. But many players stick to their favorite characters no matter their tier or status in the meta.

What are the Best Genshin Impact Characters?

Genshin Impact characters cover 7 different elements and each has a top-tier character for it. For Hydro we have Yelan, a stellar Sub DPS that can output loads of damage when off the field. 

As for Cryo, we have Ayaka, a Main DPS with some of the highest damage output in good team composition. With Pyro, we have Hu Tao, a Main DPS that synergizes well with vaporize supports to deal lots of damage. For Anemo we have Kazuha, generally the best debuff and grouping character that fits into any team composition. With Electro we have Raiden, the Archon of Inazuma, and her massive DPS. For Geo, we have Zhongli the best shielder in the whole game. Finally, for Dendro we have Alhaitham the best Main DPS for the element.

Genshin Impact 5-star Characters

Each of the characters we have listed above happens to be a 5-star character. For those unfamiliar this essentially means that they are usually more powerful than 4-star characters and very difficult to obtain. To pull a 5-star character from a banner it is a 0.6% chance compared to 2.5% for a 4-star character. Furthermore, the pity to get a 5-star is at 90 compared to 10 for 4-star characters.
