What does Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Gameplay look like?
A lot of Star Wars Jedi Survivor gameplay looks almost exactly like its predecessor. The game is in the action-adventure genre and the player assumes the role of Cal Kestis, a young Jedi Knight. Players control Cal in a third-person perspective, meaning you can see the character as you interact with the world around you in-game.
The franchise’s signature weapon, a lightsaber, is the same weapon Cal uses during Star Wars Jedi Survivor gameplay. You can do pretty much the same tricks with the lightsaber as you’ve probably seen in the movies. This, of course, means striking enemies and blocking their attacks with it. However, where Fallen Order only allowed players to use two Lightsaber stances, Jedi: Survivor allows for five.
The Force is a big part of the Star Wars franchise and it appears in Star Wars Jedi Survivor gameplay, too. Cal can use several Force powers for different reasons such as fighting and solving puzzles. As you go through the game, you’ll unlock more Force powers to use to your advantage.

You can also change his hairstyle and facial hair if customizing the outfit isn’t enough. This is a big improvement over Fallen Order which offered limited customization options.
Finally, it’s important to note there is a lot more to explore and discover in Jedi: Survivor. The maps are larger and more expansive and there are lots of interesting NPCs to meet throughout the game. Players can fast-travel between different locations to catch up on everything they’ve missed so far. It was also only available as a pre-order, and the game has been out for several months already. Nevertheless, it’s good to know what exactly these 5000 lucky buyers got.

Just like most other Collector’s Editions of video games, this one is pretty loaded. It even comes with a certificate of authenticity that helps players determine whether they got the real thing or not.
The most game-impactful item, though, is the Obi-Wan Kenobi cosmetic pack. Unfortunately, because the Collector’s Edition no longer sells, this also means you can’t get the Hermit set anymore. While the devs may release it as a separate cosmetic pack, it’s highly unlikely. This is because it makes little sense to offer the cosmetic as a special item in the Collector’s Edition only to sell it for a few bucks later down the line.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Deluxe Edition
The Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Deluxe Edition is a step down from the Collector’s Edition. However, unlike the Collector’s Edition, players can still acquire it today. It only costs $20 more than the base game and includes lots of in-game items. Once again, the Star Wars Jedi Survivor gameplay doesn’t change much with this edition.

Who are the main characters of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor?
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor features six main characters, although we can only truly name Cal as the protagonist.
The other 5 main characters are simply Cal’s allies, and they are:
- Cere Junda, a Jedi Master,
- Greez Dritus, ex-pilot of the Stinger Mantis,
- BD-1, a small droid,
- Merrin, a member of the Nightsister clan,
- Bode Akuna, a Rebel
Cal Kestis
Cal Kestis returns as the protagonist of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor from his adventures in Fallen Order. He’s a survivor of the Great Jedi Purge who is trying to make peace with his role as a Jedi Knight. In both games, Cal deals with his personal issues while fighting against the Empire along with his friends and allies.
Cere Junda
Cere Junda is a Jedi Master who is also Cal’s mentor. While Junda deals with her own issues and emotions, she also helps Cal fight against the Empire. She is very sensitive to the Force and has proven to be an amazing Jedi Master both in the lore and Star Wars Jedi Survivor gameplay.
Bode Akuna
Bode Akuna is a Jedi Knight who, like Cere Junda, is sensitive to the Force. During the Great Jedi Purge, Akuna went into hiding and became a mercenary. He became a Rebel to fight for the safety of his daughter, Kata Akuna. Upon meeting and befriending Cal Kestis, Akuna considers him one of his best friends.
BD-1
Some might say BD-1 is the cutest member of the gang. This tiny robot accompanies Cal throughout most of his journey and fighter against the Empire. A lot of the Star Wars Jedi Survivor gameplay involves BD-1 and the combos the player can make along with Cal. This also means the player can make certain upgrades to the droid during the game which improves its performance.
Merrin
Merrin is a Dathomirian Nightsister who is the last surviving member of her clan. Like most other characters, players may recognize Merrin from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, where she met and traveled with Cal Kestis. In Jedi: Survivor, Merrin is heavily involved with the Hidden Path and eventually reunites with Cal on their mission to hunt for Tanalorr.
Greez Dritus
Apart from BD-1, Greez Dritus is the only non-human member of the group. He is the former pilot of the Stinger Mantis and already knows most of the crew such as Cere Junda.
