Skyrim is one of the best open-world rpg games to date. Fighting a wide variety of monsters might become boring for some players. However, Skyrim wives are here to help! We will be reviewing some of the advantages of Skyrim marriage, and counting down to the best wife in Skyrim!
How to Get Married in Skyrim
Marriage is is a bit harder in Skyrim than it is in real life. To get married in Skyrim you first have to collect the Amulet of Mara. You can purchase it for 200 from Maramal. That is the route we recommend because before marrying you have to talk to her anyway. You can marry over 60 different NPCs across the realm, each with their own set of requirements.
You and your partner will go into business together once you’ve married, operating a trade shop from wherever you live. Don’t worry; your partner will take care of everything. All you have to do is request your 100 gold every 24 hours in-game.
After collecting the Amulet of Mara, and speaking with Maramal in Riften, you have to choose the NPC you want to marry. You need to start a conversation with the NPC you’d like to marry. However, winning a maiden’s heart is not an easy task. Before proposing to your future partner you need to finish a quest for them first. After earning their trust, just like in real life, you can propose to your love interest. You hold a very sweet wedding ceremony and choose a property which you will keep with your future wife.
Why should you even get married in Skyrim?
The choice of your future residency is very important. You can choose to be a gold-digger and move into your spouse’s house/estate or she can move into your property. By choosing to live in your wife’s residency you can get many bonuses, such as free rooms at inns if she owns a hotel or similar. However, if you have the Hearthfire DLC, you can build your own house to your liking.
You can ask your spouse to prepare a Home Cooked Meal for you once a day, which will increase your Health, Stamina, and Magicka regeneration by 25% for 10 minutes. Delicious food aside, what you want in a marriage is love, right? Well, Lover’s Comfort bonus is the thing for you! By sleeping in the same house as your wife, you get this daily bonus which grants you an increased skill learning speed by 15% for eight hours.
